We’ve negotiated with Bath and North East Somerset Council a draft Community Asset Transfer, which means that we will be able to both preserve and develop the House and safeguard Haile Selassie’s legacy for future generations.

The Council have already carried out essential works in the House to mitigate the result of under investment, and we have negotiated a innovative arrangement where we can operate the House in accordance with Haile Selassie’s gift. The main goal is to maintain the use of the House as a facility for the Aged of Bath, and in addition we respect and encourage the engagement of the Rastafari and Ethiopian communities and as importantly, making the House available to use by the local community.
